For those members of Colonial Revolution Youth Mountain Bike Team who choose to participate, here are three race series in which our team registers:
Virginia High School Mountain Bike Series: 4 races plus USA Nationals. This spring league is open to girls and boys in high school, middle school and elementary school. Schedule here.
National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) Virginia hosts 4 races. (Scroll down their page for race dates.) In this league our middle and school riders compete as Colonial Revolution Composite.
WEEKEND ON YOUR WHEELS (WOYW)
A local Youth Race Series for ages 3-18. Perfect for first time racers in a relaxed environment. Three races in April and May. Includes short, medium, and long courses.
Sponsored by York County Parks & Recreation Department. Advanced registration required online at yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec. Registration link will be available by March 1st each year. No same day registration. Call NQP at 757–890-5840 with questions
Race fees: $25 for entry to all 3 races. Or pay $10/child for single entry. Season pass not required. Pre-Ride & Skills Clinic Day included.
